PEPLUM TOP & LINEN BLEND PANTS...

...ok, this is the absolute best I can do with pictures.  I'm convinced that I need to get a new camera.  My point and shot is just not getting it any more.

The top and pants both wore well today; however both need a little tweaking.  The top is just a little wide through the side seams, and there is just a little too much fabric in the pocket area of the pants.  I plan to adjust both tonight - should be an easy fix.  The textured linen blend used for the pants resisted wrinkling all day long - of course I loved that factor.

So I'm off to make my adjustments so the outfit will be ready for it's next rotation..........

  4. I really like this top. I'm starting to get a little partial to peplums.

  5. Your peplum top is very pretty, I like the colors too! I wish I would simply go and do my changes right away like you instead on putting them onto an ever growing pile!

Have you tried just using a tripod, even my point and shoot has a self timer option you can use and taking photos outside provides better light for photos too from what I've learned.

I found your blog tonight and I'm quite delighted!

  6. This is looking good already, even without the tweaks! I am feeling rather inspired:-)
I think this pattern would look nice in a dressy fabric as well with cigarette pants. (Not that I'm someone who should consider cigarette pants, but a girl can dream!)

  10. Super cute top. I really like the asymetrical peplum. I want to make a peplum top too but can't settle on a pattern. The Vogue one look good but so does the New Look.

Love this top! I actually saw almost the exact same thing at Banana Republic the other day and fell in love with it. It looks really good on you.

Oh, and I had to laugh when reading your latest comment on my blog about being "a month late." I've been commenting about a month or two late lately too, so I'm right there with ya :)

  12. Faye, The outfit looks great. I love the asymmetrical hem. I bought the New Look pattern and thought it would be a good peplum top pattern.
